Challenge

Medical tourism is a multi-billion-dollar market, yet patients who want affordable treatment abroad are left stitching the journey together from scattered forums, language barriers, and clinics they have no real way to vet. There was no single, trustworthy place to compare procedures, see realistic prices, and reach accredited providers across different countries. AbroadClinics set out to fix exactly that — an end-to-end build spanning the product, the brand, the multi-language frontend, and the marketplace backend.

02

Approach

We designed AbroadClinics as a two-sided marketplace from the ground up: patients on one side searching procedures and destinations, clinics and doctors on the other onboarding as verified providers. We started from the patient journey — search a procedure, compare destinations and average costs, request a free quote, then book and travel — and worked backwards to the data model and APIs needed to support it. Internationalization was a first-class concern from day one, with a locale-prefixed routing scheme (/en/…) so the platform could expand market by market, wrapped in a clean, reassuring visual design to earn the trust a healthcare decision demands.

03

Solution

AbroadClinics is a full-stack platform with a fast, fully internationalized single-page frontend and a marketplace backend behind it. Patients browse popular procedures — liposuction, dental implants, hair transplants, rhinoplasty and more — each with transparent average costs and savings, explore top destinations like Turkey, Thailand and Hungary with ratings, and request quotes through a guided flow. Clinics and doctors onboard through a dedicated provider portal with a verified-clinic badge, all gated by a proper authentication system. Behind it sits a full admin panel to manage companies, review incoming quote and provider requests, track pending contracts, and configure the system — turning the marketplace into something an operator can actually run day to day.

04

Results

AbroadClinics turns a fragmented, anxiety-inducing process into one clean, transparent platform where patients can compare treatments that often cost a fraction of home-market prices and reach vetted clinics directly. Built entirely end-to-end — frontend, backend, i18n, and design — it launched in 2026 with six procedure categories and multiple destinations live, plus a verified-provider marketplace built to scale market by market. A complete product, taken from the first wireframe to a deployed, multi-language site.
